40 of Indonesia's Best Dishes

Hi everyone, so today I would like to share an aspect of my culture. If you didn't know, I am an Indonesian. Though the language I fluently speak, write and think in is English, I still am an Indonesian at heart and well, partly in blood.

So here:

All time favorite line from a book. From barely being able to talk until today. Madeline!

"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines, lived twelve little girls in two straight lines.
They left the house, at half past nine   ... The smallest one was Madeline."

English Assignment: Should Australia Apologize to the Aborigines? (Forced by English teacher to choose side - Sorry)

For decades there has been a concealed barrier between the Indigenous and the non-Indigenous Australians. Everyday, most of the European-heritage Australians who was born during the 20th Century masquerade the racism towards Aboriginals as nothing. This subject is often very sensitive, especially if it is discussed in public. The most sensitive topic would be the event of the ‘Stolen Generation’ and the general mistreatment of the Aboriginal population. The ‘Stolen Generation’ refers to Indigenous Australians who were forcibly removed from their families and communities to learn the ways of the modern European Australians. In this essay I will discuss three points leading to the conclusion on whether Australia should apologize to the Aborigines. To apologize would mean ending the silent war between the two parties but to admit wrongdoing. On the other hand, to dismiss the thought of apologizing would mean continuing the peaceful way of Australia but further encourage ignorance.

Today's diet

Today's diet is consisted of Konyaku and Mochi. So far that has been all the things I've consumed up until 2pm today.

Deliciousness

Mochi: A Japanese snack delicacy that I will never get bored of!

There's no way to explain in words the feel of mochi melting and being slowly chewed up inside the mouth. It's so beautiful. Soft and chewy and just oh so pleasurable, it can't be described.

The greatest thing about this post? I'm slowly snacking on mochi right at this moment. LOVE!

Hakuna Matata

Hakuna Matata: It is a way of life.

For this blog post I'll just share my current plan to control my eating habits which has recently got out of control. My plan is to jot down into my phone, every type of food that I eat for the whole day. It is not about quantity control or the portion. This is to be done to see how many types of food I eat in a day. My goal is to try to limit the number of types to +/- 10 a day. This is because I have a habit of trying everything and when I try one or munch on it, I no longer consider how much I have already eaten in total in that 1 hour period. Food to me is for the savory tastes, to placate my craving taste-buds.

Sudden Obsession of John Mayer

Yes, as the title declared, I have a sudden obsession for John Mayer! His singing and song-writing is beautiful. It gives a calmness yet happiness that I love in life.

Any suggestions to give me to add to my music collection?

I've always wanted to be a singer. Singing anywhere in public and be appreciated. Like somewhere in a cafe or something. I don't need fame on tv or anything, just to sing my heart out and have people listen to me. I love singing, it's a passion. I recently heard in a restaurant a female performer who probably is around her early twenties, and she was great, so sweet calm enchanting, her voice her confidence lulls your ears. Especially that she has great taste in picking music with a wide range selections such as Elvis to Christina Perry to Rihanna to Celine Dion to Beatles and so much more!
