This is what fruit smoothies look like before and after it has been blended together. Doesn't it both look tempting?

Random x gajillion

I should change my blog title to 'adventures of a curious creature'. What do you think?

The theme being me as a curious creature navigating through the world. Hmmm?

13 May 2013, Monday

Hi there. So I'm on my way to school to commence the first exam of the semester. Wish me luck! This week will be full to the brim with examinations and an extra leftover exam next week in economics. After the exams you ask? I'm absolutely FREEEEEEE! Yes, the end of the semester means that I'll be on break to be able to do anything I desire to do until mid-july. Fun isn't it?

Anyway, I'm slightly worried that my english has turned absolutely terrible over the first half of the year. Unfortunately I have no time to clean up my act as the very first exam, which is today btw, is the most awful subject I had to survive through. English. Ba da dummsss

Bye bye now! Have a great day all!
Hugs and Kisses!

40 of Indonesia's Best Dishes

Hi everyone, so today I would like to share an aspect of my culture. If you didn't know, I am an Indonesian. Though the language I fluently speak, write and think in is English, I still am an Indonesian at heart and well, partly in blood.

So here:

All time favorite line from a book. From barely being able to talk until today. Madeline!

"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines, lived twelve little girls in two straight lines.
They left the house, at half past nine   ... The smallest one was Madeline."

English Assignment: Should Australia Apologize to the Aborigines? (Forced by English teacher to choose side - Sorry)

For decades there has been a concealed barrier between the Indigenous and the non-Indigenous Australians. Everyday, most of the European-heritage Australians who was born during the 20th Century masquerade the racism towards Aboriginals as nothing. This subject is often very sensitive, especially if it is discussed in public. The most sensitive topic would be the event of the ‘Stolen Generation’ and the general mistreatment of the Aboriginal population. The ‘Stolen Generation’ refers to Indigenous Australians who were forcibly removed from their families and communities to learn the ways of the modern European Australians. In this essay I will discuss three points leading to the conclusion on whether Australia should apologize to the Aborigines. To apologize would mean ending the silent war between the two parties but to admit wrongdoing. On the other hand, to dismiss the thought of apologizing would mean continuing the peaceful way of Australia but further encourage ignorance.

Today's diet

Today's diet is consisted of Konyaku and Mochi. So far that has been all the things I've consumed up until 2pm today.

Deliciousness

Mochi: A Japanese snack delicacy that I will never get bored of!

There's no way to explain in words the feel of mochi melting and being slowly chewed up inside the mouth. It's so beautiful. Soft and chewy and just oh so pleasurable, it can't be described.

The greatest thing about this post? I'm slowly snacking on mochi right at this moment. LOVE!

Hakuna Matata

Hakuna Matata: It is a way of life.

For this blog post I'll just share my current plan to control my eating habits which has recently got out of control. My plan is to jot down into my phone, every type of food that I eat for the whole day. It is not about quantity control or the portion. This is to be done to see how many types of food I eat in a day. My goal is to try to limit the number of types to +/- 10 a day. This is because I have a habit of trying everything and when I try one or munch on it, I no longer consider how much I have already eaten in total in that 1 hour period. Food to me is for the savory tastes, to placate my craving taste-buds.

Sudden Obsession of John Mayer

Yes, as the title declared, I have a sudden obsession for John Mayer! His singing and song-writing is beautiful. It gives a calmness yet happiness that I love in life.

Any suggestions to give me to add to my music collection?

I've always wanted to be a singer. Singing anywhere in public and be appreciated. Like somewhere in a cafe or something. I don't need fame on tv or anything, just to sing my heart out and have people listen to me. I love singing, it's a passion. I recently heard in a restaurant a female performer who probably is around her early twenties, and she was great, so sweet calm enchanting, her voice her confidence lulls your ears. Especially that she has great taste in picking music with a wide range selections such as Elvis to Christina Perry to Rihanna to Celine Dion to Beatles and so much more!

The Right Word

THE RIGHT WORD
Wildflowers might be prevalent in the mountains during the spring months, but a particular type of wildflower might be the prevailing one. Prevalent, in other words, implies widespread occurrence or acceptance in a particular place or time (: a prevalent belief during the nineteenth century), while prevailing suggests that something exists in such quantity that it surpasses or leads all others in acceptance, usage, or belief (: the prevailing theory about the evolution of man).
Wildflowers might also be abundant in the valleys—a word that, unlike prevalent and prevailing, is largely restricted to observations about a place and may suggest oversupply (: an abundant harvest; indications of decay were abundant).

Preparing the Next Generation

Preparing the next generation: Freedom or Discipline?
‘The world today is increasingly tough and competitive. It is useless to pretend that children know best. They do not. Parents and teachers need to make decisions for children and ensure – by all means possible – that children achieve the highest academic standards. This will benefit the child and, ultimately, the nation.’

Indifference or criticism? Pain in freedom, or happiness in captivity? Sometimes the path is not clear enough for us to take. Dealing with education and methods authority figures have in the lives of learners could be constituted to be part of the thought provoking.

Connected in this Electronic Information Age

The phrase 'modern day' goes hand-in-hand with technology. In developed countries and an increasing number of developing countries, most are in the technological age. It seems as if everyone, at the very least, has a mobile phone whether young or elderly. At this point, the issue that is being often discussed around the world is that people feel no closer to being happy in their lives even though communication through technology is increasingly easier. There are two ways to look at this issue.

Gravity is working against me.

Going to meet with Emily and hopefully the others today at FX, in FourFingers. Hopefully all will be great and I'll have a wonderful time. I miss them. I hope they don't think me lame and clingy and have lost my mind. I hope they accept me, it has been way too long.

Is it my fault, or is it that people easily drop me out of their lives?

I lost my voice

HOLLA!

I've lost my voice completely. This sucks. I've once again re-discovered that being a mute is absolutely frustrating and tiresome. My brain feels like exploding! It's not about wishing to say something, it's that I'm so quiet and it's not possible to even make a peep of a sound. I currently have a very short temper due to losing my voice and feeling sick. It's so so so uncomfortable!

Sweet Nobody

Run Away.
When is the time to realize you've grown into an adult?
When is the time to finally see you are no longer a kid?

When was the last time you felt included?
When was the last time you felt as a great friend?
When did you find yourself alone?
When did you see that you had no ongoing text-versation with a friend?
When was the last time you shared a laugh?
When was the last time you goofed off?
When was the last time you checked your phone to see no notifications?
When did being self-entertained become a habit?
When did you finally see everyone has drifted away?
When did you intentionally push someone away?
When did anyone randomly called to share a moment or a joke?

When?

Love, Nancy Adams

It seems like only yesterday
You were just a child at play
Now you're all grown up in sight of me
Oh, how fast those moments flee
Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on

Love will live
Love will last
Love goes on and on and on
Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on

Moments Like This

It is the moments like this where you can truly reflect on where you are and be grateful for it. Moments like this where everything is so serene and peaceful, where time is just there for you to use, no deadlines, no plans, just sitting there.

I myself am grateful on where I am right now. I have nothing to do while listening to music from the 1900s and early 2000s. Looking out the window to see the sun halfway down, the time before sunset. The fluffy clouds in the 4.00pm sky.

How to relax? Find moments like this that cause your worries and bothering thoughts to slip away for just a little while. Bliss.

"We've Got Tonight"

I know it's late, I know you're weary

I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Longing for shelter from all that we see Why should we worry, no one will care girl Look at the stars so far away We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don' you stay?

Deep in my soul, I've been so lonely All of my hopes, fading away I've longed for love, like everyone else does I know I'll keep searching, even after today So there it is girl, I've said it all now And here we are babe, what do you say? We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay?

I know it's late, I know you're weary I know your plans don't include me Still here we are, both of us lonely Both of us lonely

We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow? Let's make it ast, let's find a way Turn out the light, come take my hand now We've got tonight babe Why don't you stay?

Why don't you stay?

The Clock Strikes Midnight

I've got something to laugh about a week from now. Today of all days I've mixed up the date so unusually. In the morning when I made my first blog post of the day, I typed in the date 20th of February (Which is the right date). Then when I checked for the post on my blog, there it was filed under the date 19 February. Well of course, as silly as I get, I believed the electronic gadget's date. What electronic device these days could get the
